• Freemasons who are current members of lodges under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Ancient Free Masons of South Carolina may join as regular members

• Freemasons whose lodge are in jurisdictions recognized by the Grand Lodge of Ancient Free Masons of South Carolina may become associate members with all rights and privileges except voting and holding office

• Lodges and other Masonic organizations within this Jurisdiction and those of other Jurisdictions recognized by the Grand Lodge of Ancient Free Masons of South Carolina may join as non-member subscribers

• Annual dues of $15 was established in our founding year of 1989.  Through frugal management and extensive volunteerism, we are pleased that they remain the same today

  • A new member receives a certificate of membership suitable for framing, a handsome lapel pin and a complimentary copy of a past issue of Transactions.  There are no joining fees

• Optional - For $100, a new member receives three years dues and a copy of all Transactions in stock

• A Life Membership program for individuals has also been established and is a bargain at $300.00

  • "Life" is defined as Masonic life.  Members applying for Life Membership must be in good standing with the Society and provide proof of current lodge membership to the Secretary of the Society

  • Should a Life Member be dropped from lodge membership for any reason, the member shall forfeit his Life Membership. Life Membership in SCMRS will be restored upon proof of being reinstated to lodge membership

• We are equally proud that our product, Transactions, has maintained the outstanding level of excellence originally established and has gained the name as a quality publication from this and other jurisdictions

• Every member is entitled to one copy of the Society’s Transactions for the year that dues are paid. New members will be issued one copy of Transactions when they are published the following spring. This is included in the annual dues of $15.00

• Annual dues payments are required prior to January 1, that our publishers may be paid in a timely manner. There are no initiation fees other than dues for the initial year and there is no discrimination of cost to associate members

How Do I Join?

• Complete and mail an Application for Membership with annual dues of $15.00

  • Or send $100 for three years dues and copy of all Transactions in stock

  • Or send $300 for Life Membership

• If your Lodge or organization is not listed in the "List of Lodges, Masonic" published by Pantograph Printing & Stationery Co., then you must submit with your application a letter from your Grand Lodge, on its letterhead, clearly describing your relationship with that Grand Lodge

What Can A Mason Benefit By Joining? 

• Masons are, or, should be, in a quest for more Light.  SCMRS studies Exoteric and historical aspects of our Fraternity, culminating in the annual publication of Transactions, which is a collection of research topics covering all of these aspects
