Editorial Policy
The author's name, address, Masonic status and affiliations, and telephone number should be included. The South Carolina Masonic Research Society is an organization of interested Freemasons dedicated to encouraging Masonic research and scholarship throughout the world. All aspects of Masonic study will be considered, but we especially encourage those related to Freemasonry in South Carolina.
Original articles submitted for consideration will be reviewed by the Editorial Committee on the basis of interest to the Society and importance to the Craft.
Questions on Masonic topics are cheerfully solicited. Answers will be determined from knowledgeable Masonic sources and printed in the Transactions of the Society.
In general, original poetry or articles merely expressing the views and opinions of the authors will not be considered appropriate for publication, unless of outstanding merit. Likewise, poorly written manuscripts will be returned to the author for revision. Quality of the work published will be the benchmark of the Society.

- All statistics, facts, and quotations must be verified by the author and be referenced in footnotes.
- Especially check to see that names and places are spelled correctly.
- Any pictures, drawings, or figures must be of sufficiently high quality to be reproduced as submitted.
- A soft copy of the article in Word or WordPerfect format will also be appreciated.
